Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our experienced guide. After a short briefing, embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park located in the northwestern part of Rwanda. The journey offers picturesque views of the rolling hills and lush greenery that characterize Rwanda’s landscape.
En route, you will have an opportunity to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about the country’s history and resilience. Upon arrival at your lodge near Volcanoes National Park, you will check-in and have some time to relax and acclimate to the environment. Dinner will be served at the lodge, preparing you for the thrilling adventures ahead.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette and safety guidelines. You will then be assigned to a specific gorilla family and accompanied by experienced rangers and trackers.
The trek can range from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family. As you hike through the dense forests and rugged terrain, you will encounter other wildlife and diverse flora. Once you find the gorillas, you will have a magical one-hour encounter with these gentle giants. Observe their social interactions, playful behavior, and the powerful silverback leading the family.
After the trek, return to the lodge for a well-deserved rest and a hearty lunch. In the afternoon, you can opt for a cultural visit to the nearby Iby’iwacu Cultural Village to experience traditional Rwandan dance, music, and crafts.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking and Return to Kigali

After spending quality time with the golden monkeys, return to the lodge for lunch and check-out. Your guide will then drive you back to Kigali, where you can explore local markets or enjoy a leisurely city tour before your departure flight.
