5 Days Maasai mara Lake Nakuru & Lake Naivasha tour

Our driver/guide reports to your hotel or Nairobi home for Start of the safari, with an early departure for a scenic drive down into the Great Rift Valley, onwards to Maasai Mara, Kenya’s premier game reserve. (Drive time 5-6 hours). Stop briefly at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to enjoy the stunning views of what is the world’s largest Valley, said to be even visible from space. Arrive at Maasai Mara in time for lunch. The afternoon game drive from 3:30 PM will allow you to spot the magnificent wildlife in the park ranging from the Big Cats such as Lion, Leopard & Cheetah to Rhino, Elephant and Wildebeest. Exit the park gate by 6 PM and return to your lodge by 6.30pm for dinner and overnight stay.

As your Maasai Mara safari is private, your game drive timings will be flexible, useful if you are travelling with children, or are on a honeymoon. You may choose to have:

 [Option 1] A full day game drive [ one for the whole day] with a packed picnic lunch at no extra cost. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

 [Option 2] Proceed for an early morning pre-breakfast game drive, return to the camp for breakfast, then after breakfast relax in the hotel enjoying the facilities, have lunch at lodge and later in the afternoon, you can opt for an optional visit a local Maasai village to learn about the nomadic lifestyle. The Maasai people are famous for their bravery, as they have co-existed with the region’s wild animals for centuries. Or go for an afternoon game drive returning to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.  [Option 3] You could also do a very early morning Hot Air Balloon safari flight with some champagne breakfast then proceed for a full day game drive with packed lunch. Exit the park gate by 6 PM and return to your lodge by 6.30pm for dinner and overnight stay.

Conclude your stay in the Mara with a check out after breakfast. Your Safari now takes you to Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru is not only a UNESCO World Heritage site but also a Bird & Rhino sanctuary where you also get to see Lion and Leopard. Arrive by midday and proceed to your booked accommodation for a leisurely lunch. In the afternoon embark on a comprehensive game drive of this scenic park including visits to viewpoints which offer superb photo opportunities.

Return to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight by 6.30pm.

Today you can savor a relaxed breakfast as you only need to start your journey to Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha is a fresh water lake which is a popular tourist spot in Kenya for locals and foreigners alike. Arrive in time for lunch. Later in the afternoon you will embark on a boat ride that will take you to Crescent Island for guided walking safari. The visit is a unique and memorable experience. Explore breath-taking sceneries with views across the beautiful lake and on the land wild animals grazing. The island is home to a wide range of wildlife in their natural habitat. It is an experience to walk in the wild nearby the wild animals and have photo taking with them. Later on take the boat ride back and head to the hotel for relaxation – the lodge we book at the lake offer beautiful natural spaces where you can see numerous bird species among the trees as well as spot some animals ranging from waterbuck to warthogs.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

After a relaxed breakfast at the camp/lodge, we shall check out followed by an onward departure back to Nairobi by road. Arrive Nairobi by early afternoon [typically by 2.30pm]. Drop off at your hotel or free onward transfer to the airport for your flight home.
