Day 1: Nairobi- Samburu
Early morning pick up from the hotel or airport. There will be a brief safari orientation (pre-departure meeting) of the safari, thereafter you will drive north to the northern frontier passing by the Equator in Nanyuki. Continue to the semi-arid Samburu National reserve and check in to your camp/lodge.
After lunch at the lodge there will be time to settle in before your first game drive adventure begins.
4.00pm Set out for an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Return to the lodge before dark for dinner, overnight and relaxation. Sopa lodge/similarDay 2: Samburu Reserve
Early morning breakfast and then get out for an early morning game drive in the reserve. This is usually the most popular game viewing time. During the early hours temperatures are low, thus providing a favorable atmosphere both for the game and the viewer. Lion, Cheetah and Leopard roam the vast grasslands in search for their next meal, it may be an unsuspecting impala or even a small one like the warthog…whatever the players, and the spectacle of nature unfolding is always awe inspiring!
Enjoy a full day game drive till evening.
Return to the camp/lodge before dark for dinner and overnight. Sopa Lodge/similarDay 3: Samburu-Nairobi
After an early morning breakfast, check out and depart for a morning game drive as you exit Samburu national reserve. Drive to Nairobi to arrive late afternoon/early evening.
Drop at a Nairobi hotel or airport.
