Day 2: To Jinja city
Today, on the second day of your 13-day Midrange safari in Uganda – culture and wildlife, we relaxingly drive through the capital city of Uganda. We then continue eastwards to the city on the River Nile. As the sun sets, we have a boat trip around the point where the River Nile starts from Lake Victoria. The fast-running water from the lake into the river and the surrounding hills and bird life are stunning. We relax at the hotel.

Day 3: To Sipi Falls
On this 13-day Midrange safari in Uganda, culture and wildlife, will take you to sipi falls following your breakfast with the sunrise over the River Nile below. Your safari drive will transfer you eastwards to the Sipi Falls, passing through the rather flat and swampy landscape on the flanks of Lake Victoria. Towards Mbale city, the Wanale cliffs, together with Mount Elgon, begin to be visible. We drive through the mountain slopes to nearby the falls. In the afternoon, we wind down at the lodge with views of the waterfalls and mountains on the sides.

Day 4: Nature walk and hike around the Sipi falls
On this 13-day Midrange safari in Uganda, culture and wildlife – this morning will take you to the misty views of the amazing mount Elgon and Sipi falls. After breakfast, prepare yourself for an excursion to the three picturesque waterfalls. We then walk leisurely through gardens of Coffee and bananas as well as homesteads. Here, we have a chance to hear local stories and the sounds of the villages. At the waterfalls, you will marvel at the drops of water coming from many metres high above your head. The crystal clear and cold water drops at your feet and into the rocks below.

Day 5: Sipi to Moroto with afternoon cultural experience
On this 13-day Midrange safari in Uganda – culture and wildlife – have your morning breakfast and drive northwards to Karamoja. Karamoja is a brown and dry region in the dry season. However, during and after the rainy season, the region is quite green and beautiful. The natural landscape of rocky hills and Mountains is breathtaking. In the afternoon, we visit a Karamojong village that is the largest in East Africa. Here we see how these people uniquely live under their civilisations and cultures. It is believed that Mankind started here. In the evening, we relax at the Lodge below Mountain Moroto.

] Day 6: Moroto to Kidepo National Park
On this 13-day Midrange safari in Uganda – culture and wildlife, our Safari continues north through the hills and villages to Kidepo National Park. From the lodge where we spend the night, the park is visible below. It is a huge grassland with scattered trees and gently sloping hillsides. The elephants from afar look like natural dots in motion. Day 7: Kidepo in the Narus Valley
On this 13-day Midrange safari in Uganda – culture and wildlife – we start our safari in the park with the Narus valley. Around here, animals congregate along the river that flows through the valley. We drive around the valley as we look out for elephants, hyenas, Zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and other animals of the grasslands. In the afternoon, we relax. We then make a sundowner safari up the hill with a very nice viewpoint. Here, you see Kidepo Park all around you. It is a wonderful sight to watch the animals in the valleys below.

On this 13-day Midrange safari in Uganda, culture and wildlife begin the safari and move to the northeast of the park. If conditions are good, we drive through the beautiful Kidepo valley up to the hot springs. The mountainous landscape leading into Sudan and Kenya looks like paradise. Along here, there are animals to see that include Leopards on the rocky outcrops as well as groups of Ostriches. It is also where you see the rare Dik-dik and Bat-eared Fox. In the afternoon, we do another safari around the rocks where lions roar. If you have an interest in birds, Kidepo National Park is one of the best places in Uganda for bird-watching.Day 8: Kidepo Park and the lion rocks

Day 9: To Murchison Falls National Park

This is another gem of a wildlife habitat that cannot be missed on safari in Uganda. This drive takes us through the other side of Uganda of settlements and traditional homesteads, as well as local farms.

Day 10: Murchison Falls relax and safari drive
We relax to the sights and sounds of Murchison Falls National Park. The views of the wilderness from the poolside or the verandah are so relaxing. You just want to rest and enjoy the nature around you. Later in the afternoon, as the sun sets, we drive through the park to look for wildlife. Murchison Falls National Park

Day 11: Murchison Falls game drive and boat safari
On this 13 days Midrange safari in Uganda- culture and wildlife, drive early into the wilderness to watch the big cats as well as huge herds of elephants. On the northern side of the River Nile, it is savannah grassland. This is where most big prey concentrate, and of course, the big cats follow. The Pakuba track is the favourite route to spot the leopards and elephants. On the other side, the Victoria and Queen tracks are good areas to search for the prides of lions and many giraffes. Within the park valleys, the herds of buffalo are cunningly followed by the lions, hyenas, and jackals. We rest for lunch, and in the afternoon, we have a boat cruise on the River Nile. This is a safari on water to see the animals along the shores of the Nile. The afternoon is a prime time to see the animals when they come to drink. We end the boat safari at the bottom of the Murchison Falls. The waterfalls here can only be compared to the Victoria and Niagara Falls!

Day 12: Murchison Falls then to Ziwa white Rhinos
On this 13 days Midrange safari in Uganda- culture and wildlife, in the morning, we go to the top of the Murchison Falls. We hike to the rocks to see the falls from above. The falls are formed when the whole River Nile flows through a narrow rock gap. This is the most powerful waterfall in the world! From the beauty of the Murchison Falls Park, we cross the River Nile and drive southwards through the forest. Our destination is the Ziwa rhino sanctuary. This is a guarded area of about seventy square miles that protects the white rhinos in the wilderness of Uganda. The vegetation is overwhelmingly woodland savannah. This provides perfect shade and juicy grasses for the Rhinos. Other wild animals like leopards, antelopes, Warthogs, and zebras roam the sanctuary. The area is a perfect place for birdwatching.

Day 13: Rhino hike and airport departure
On this 13-day Midrange safari in Uganda- culture and wildlife, wake up with the rhinos on the sanctuary grounds. Mornings are usually the best time to watch these beautiful white rhinos with their babies and sub-adults as they begin their day. We follow them as they happily graze through the bushes. Sometimes they play and even fight. However, we watch the rhino drama from a safe but close distance. The story of the rhinos is incredibly interesting considering how they came to the sanctuary and Uganda. After the nature walk with the Rhinos, we return for refreshment and then drive to the airport for departure. End
