Best time to visit Queen Elizabeth National Park

Although the park can be visited all year round, the dry season, which runs from June to September and December to February, is the best time to fly to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is because, during the dry season, the trails are dry and passable since there is little to no rainfall in the park, which creates room for animals to converge at the water places to quench their thirst during the dry season. This means that visitors will have a clear opportunity to see a variety of wildlife species.

The park can also be visited during the rainy season, from March to May and September to November; however, during these months, the park receives a lot of rainfall, which, in most cases, disrupts the flight schedules and movement, leading to delays. Additionally, roads to the park are always muddy and slick with thick vegetation cover that obstructs wildlife views.
